There are millions of sites on the internet now, and thousands more get added everyday. Search Engines are web sites designed to help you search for information on specific key words or phrases. There are many different types and styles of search engines. Examples: - Google

This is just to name a few.Other sites which are often referred to as search engines should actually be called "directories". A directory is any search site where you can drill down to individual results by clicking on a number of links - although most directories also offer a search box as a quicker way of finding you results.
